The Bolzano-Winter Archive

History

The Archive, originally called ‘The Bolzano Archive’, was founded in 1980 and based on a collection of works, offprints and photocopies of primary and secondary literature made by Edgar Morscher. In 1985 part of the Nachlass of the Bolzano scholar Eduard Winter was bequeathed to the Archive by Prioress Hildegard Pautsch, and the Archive was renamed ‘The Bolzano-Winter Archive’.

Books, letters and works of Anton Günther, Johann Emanuel Veith (pupils of Bolzano) and Johann Heinrich Loewe (Professor of philosophy in Salzburg and Prague)

Use

The Archive is open to all Bolzano scholars. No charge is made for use, but users are not entitled to remove works and must confine their activities to the Archive
