 The Curriculum for the PhD program of the Faculty of Social Sciences came into force on 28th of June 2022.

 

Admission to the PhD Programme for EU nationals

The following documents have to be submitted for admission to the Ph.D. programme in philosophy:

  • Completed application form. Note: Please tick the seventh box (GW-Fak.) as your proposed field of study.
  • BA and MA certificate (originals or certified copies), translated into English or German. Note: Original certificates in English are accepted. If the certificates are translated into English or German, please attach the translation to the original certificate and authenticate this with a stamp from your home university.
  • Transcript of all courses taken (original or certified copies), translated into English or German. Note: Original certificates in English are accepted. If the certificates are translated into English or German, please attach the translation to the original certificate and authenticate this with a stamp from your home university.
  • Copy of your passport
  • It is also good – but not required – to submit the following documents: curricula of your BA and MA studies, abstract of your master thesis
