  • Born in Salzburg on 18.5.1946, elementary school and secondary school in Salzburg / married since 1970 / three children
  • Studied at the University of World Trade (now Vienna University of Economics and Business) from 1964 to 1969, graduating with a degree in business administration, a doctorate in economics and a teaching degree for middle and higher commercial colleges.
  • Studied at the University of Salzburg, Faculty of Arts and Humanities from 2002 to 2007, graduating with a doctorate in history Appointment
  • as a sworn and court-certified expert in the field of spatial planning (decision of the Regional Court of Salzburg Pers. 9 –Sch -124/9 of 14.3.2010)

Professional work

  • 1.6.1968 to 30.9.1969: Research assistant, later assistant at the Institute of Banking Management (Univ.-Prof. Dr. Hans Krasensky) at the University of World Trade (now Vienna University of Economics and Business).
  • 1.6.1969 to 30.3.1970 member of the Expert Committee set up by the Committee of Ministers of the Austrian Federal Government for Spatial Planning, headed by Univ. Prof. Dr. Rudolf Wurzer, for the preparation of the study “Proposals for Guidelines for an Action Programme of the Federal Government on Regional Planning in Austria” / Subgroup “National Parks” (headed by Univ. Prof. Dr. Walter Strzygowski)
  • From 1.10.1969 to 31.3.2010 he worked at the Salzburg Chamber of Commerce, initially as Head of Division, from 1.1.1981 as Head of the Department for Regional Policy
  • From 1.4.2010 work as an independent court expert in the field of spatial planning, regional and economic affairs, tourism and the labour market (with expert office in 5081 Anif, Bachwinkl 9)

Other activities

  1. 1970 to 1979: Work as a lecturer at the Austrian economic development institutes (especially WIFI Salzburg) as well as at the Salzburg Adult Education Centre, the Salzburg Educational Institute, the Management Centre Hernstein and the Catholic Educational Institutions in Austria, South Tyrol and Bavaria Awarded the first promotion prize of the province of Salzburg for special achievements in adult education (1979).
  2. Lecturer at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (1968/69) “Exercise in Financial Mathematics” and from 1983 – 1987 as a university lecturer at the Institute of Economics at the University of Salzburg on the topics of “Macroeconomic Models in Economic Policy”, “Planning Techniques in the Public Sector”, “Regional Economic Policy” and others).
  3. From 29.11.1977 to 28.8.1991: Managing Director of the Salzburger Betriebsansiedlungsgesellschaft (Salzburg Business Settlement Company), acting on behalf of the Province of Salzburg
  4. From 18.5.1987 to 19.5.1999: Managing Director of Techno-Z Verbund GmbH (formerly Techno-Z GmbH and Tech-Invest GmbH)
  5. From 13.5.1987 to 15.2.1999: Managing Director of the Techno-Z Research Association and in this function also founder of the Salzburg Research Research Society as well as founder and first managing director of the FH Salzburg Fachhochschul GmbH.
