ISDCL Conference in Greifswald, July 2019 More than 30 scholars from ten countries (Europe, Israel, North and South America as well as South Africa) gathered for the 2019 ISDCL meeting, graciously hosted in Greifswald by Professor Stefan Beyerle. The theme was “Notions of Time in Deuterocanonical and Cognate Literature.” The events were held from 14–18 July 2019 at the “Alfried Krupp-Wissenschaftskolleg” in Greifswald. The first part of the conference dealt with the construction of time as history in the Axial Ages, while the second part covered Second Temple calendars and festivals in time and space. The longest part of the conference dealt with particular instances of the construction of time in deuterocanonical books and other Second Temple Jewish literature. In due course, Walter de Gruyter (Berlin) will publish the conference proceedings.
