The areas of the department of Practical Theology are considered as the theory behind common practice in church and society including their empirical evaluation. Systematic queries are combined with applied demands. For all subjects of this department the interdisciplinary connection to the human and social sciences as well as the cooperation with other faculties are constitutive. The department comprises the following areas: Religious Education and Didactics, Pastoral Theology, Liturgics and Sacramental Theology, Theological Ethics and Christian Social Ethics.
