Student Identification Cards
The student ID Card is the card-sized identification card for students and serves as an official photo ID. It confirms university affiliation and valid enrollment for the current semester; additionally, it functions as a library card and a card for copying and printing services.
All students receive a student ID upon initial admission and enrollment. Issuance is free of charge. If a biometric passport photo has not been uploaded, a passport photo may be submitted either at the time of enrollment or at a later date.

Functions
The student card can be used:
- to extend the validity of the identification card at service points
- as a library card in the university library
- to copy on all copiers and printers in Salzburg University
Furthermore students often receive discounts in shops and restaurants by showing their students ID. Whether it’s a bar, bakery or cinema – show your card and ask for a student discount. Studimittwoch Altstadt Salzburg (salzburg-altstadt.at)
