How to get to Salzburg?

 Salzburg Airport Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is located in the southwest only about 4 km outside the city center and well connected via public transport. Public buses go at regular intervals (10-20 minutes) between Salzburg Airport, the city center and the conference venue. A taxi stand can be found both directly in front of the airport terminal. Direct flights from many destinations in Europe are served. There are also connecting flights from and to the largest Austrian Airport –  Vienna International Airport.
By train
There are direct trains from Vienna International Airport via Vienna Central Station, Budapest Keleti, Zurich Main Station, Frankfurt a. M. Main Station, Munich Main Station, Praha hl.n., Venice, Zagreb, Roma Termini, Milano Centrale and Saarbrücken. Check Timetable
By Overland
Bus Many Bus companies serve Overland Buses from cities like Berlin, Munich or other provenances.
By Car
Salzburg can be easily reached via Motorway A1 (Westautobahn) from Vienna, Motorway A10 (Tauernautobahn) from the south (Italy, Slovenia), German Motorway A8 from Munich and Motorway A12 (Inntalautobahn) via German Motorways A93 and A8 from the South-West Innsbruck. Please note, that there is an obligatory toll for Motorways in Austria, called Vignette. Toll stickers must be attached to vehicles with a MATW of up to and including 3.5 t and are available at petrol stations, motorist clubs, toll stations and at tobacconist stores (“Tabaktrafik”).
By Campervan
A few campsites with the necessary infrastructure are currently available in close proximity to the city. Stopping and parking in the blue zone in Salzburg is generally permitted. Campervans can also be parked on serviced parking lots such as the ‚Mirabell Parking‘, ‚Parking lot Mülln‘ or P+R Exhibition Center. It is not, however, permitted to camp on parking lots. How to get from the airport to University? Take Bus Line 10 in direction Lankesiedlung, get off at Mozartsteg (duration 20 minutes), then change to bus line 3 or bus 8 in direction Salzburg Süd, get off at Faistauergasse (duration 3 minutes), then walk 300 meters to the University Take Bus Line 2 in direction Obergnigl, get off at Hans Schmid Platz (duration 7 minutes), then change to Bus Line 1 in direction Messe, get off at Ferdinand Hanusch Platz (duration 12 minutes), then change to bus line 3 or bus 8 in direction Salzburg Süd, get off at Faistauergasse (duration 5 minutes), then walk 300 meters to the University How to get from the Railway/Bus station to University?
