The Austrian Linguistics Conference has a long-standing tradition of fostering open academic exchange across the various fields of linguistics. The 50th ÖLT in Salzburg will continue this tradition and aims to provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of diverse research interests and areas of work in historical, general, descriptive, and applied linguistics.

Abstracts for paper and poster presentations may be submitted until 1 October 2026. Please note that individual workshop calls may have different submission deadlines. Full details are available on the website.

Registration for ÖLT 2026 is open until and including 9 November 2026. Registration is completed entirely online in two steps:

Step 1: Registration form | First, complete the registration form on the website.

Step 2: Payment of the conference fee

Then pay the applicable conference fee via PLUS events, the University of Salzburg’s secure payment portal. Please use the same full name and the same email address for both steps so that we can clearly match the form and payment. Students will be asked to upload valid proof of their student status during the payment process.

Important: Submitting the registration form alone does not complete your registration. Your participation is only confirmed once we have received both the form and the full payment and, where applicable, your proof of student status has been verified. You will then receive a confirmation by email. Payment on site is not possible.
