24 September 2026 | Presence: Public Launch Event in Salzburg with a public roundtable. In September 2026, the Jean Monnet Policy Network AdvancEU, coordinated by the Salzburg Centre of European Union Studies (SCEUS), will begin its work. Bringing together 15 universities from 13 European countries, the network will examine over the next three years how EU enlargement can be linked to internal reform, democratic resilience and renewed dynamics of European integration.

Following an online phase during the Summer Term 2026, students from different European and African countries came together from September 6–11 to explore approaches to managing polycrises, using waste management as a practical case study.

6 October 2026 | The University of Salzburg is pleased to welcome the Austrian International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis Committee (IIASA) for a day of scientific exchange and dialogue. The event will focus on current research topics, interdisciplinary collaboration, and future opportunities for cooperation.
