Language Centre course programme for the winter semester 2026/27

The University of Salzburg’s Language Centre is offering an attractive programme once again in the coming winter semester with courses in 12 different languages and many special course, including Academic skills (in German and English), Business English, Learning Romance languages through networking, Language and culture and Intercultural communication. The programme is complemented by attractive additional services such as the tandem exchange programme, the Language Meetup, and language learning advising, which is integrated into the course “Learning adivice for all languages”. The course programme is available online on the Language Centre’s website and in printed form at the Language Centre from August and at various organisational units from September.

PEP-Treffen in Viseu

6th PEP project meeting and training on plurilingual education at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Viseu

From 25 June to 3 July 2026, the 6th project meeting of the Erasmus+ project PEP as well as a training course on plurilingual education took place in Viseu (Portugal). The focus was on preparing the face-to-face component of the training, reflecting on the online modules conducted in May and June, and planning the final steps towards project completion. The training enabled participants to deepen their knowledge of plurilingual education and engage in international exchange.

Encyclopedie

PEP: Publication of the “Encyclopaedia of Plurilingual Education”

The members of the European PEP project (Erasmus+) are pleased to announce the publication of the “Encyclopaedia of Plurilingual Education / Encyclopédie de l’éducation plurilingue” (edited by Christian Ollivier and Sílvia Melo-Pfeifer), a bilingual reference work for everyone interested in plurilingual education. More than one hundred authors, internationally recognised experts in their respective fields, have contributed to this volume. In compact two- to three-page articles, they present around one hundred concepts and approaches in the field of plurilingual education.
