Topic „Austria as Stage – Austria on Stage / Österreich als Bühne – Österreich auf der Bühne“

This year’s conference of the Austrian Studies Association (ASA) will be held at the University of Salzburg. The theme is ‘Austria as Stage – Austria on Stage / Österreich als Bühne – Österreich auf der Bühne’, and around 200 international speakers are expected to attend.

The conference features research papers on many aspects of Austrian, Austro-Hungarian or Habsburg literature, culture and history from the 18th century to the present day, including the culture and history of the successor states to the Habsburg Empire and the period of the so-called ‘Anschluss’.
