Bloomsday: A celebration of Joyce’s Ulysses

Monday, 16 June 2025 | 17:00 – 18:30 h | University of Salzburg | UNIPARK Nonntal, Lecture hall 2.138 | Erzabt-Klotz-Straße 1 | Salzburg | POSTER

Around the world, James Joyce’s novel Ulysses (1922) is celebrated each year in readings and gatherings on 16th June, the day on which the events of the novel take place. Joyce’s modernist retelling of Homer’s Odyssey uses a dazzling array of styles and techniques to capture a single day in Dublin in 1904.

Join us for a feast of word and song, with readings from the novel and a book giveaway generously funded by the Embassy of Ireland.
