The University of Nairobi in Kenya is one of seven partner University’s of the CrossCulture Religious Studies Project.

Prof. Martin Rötting (Religious Studies Salzburg, visited the international office together with Prof. Edith Kayeli Chamwama. The next summer school of the Crossculture Religious Studies project is on the topic “The Body in Religion” and will take place from 03 August 2026 until 07 August 2026. Prof. Chamwama will talk on “Persistent Bodies: The Syncretic Corpse and Ritual Endurance in Maragoli Funerary Practice.”
