Kyoko Shinozaki | Reading Moderation “Im Schein der Pfütze (In the glow of the puddle)” at AAI Salzburg

When you hear the word “Taiwan,” what comes to mind? Taiwan is often talked about in the context of tensions with China or its chip industry, but it also offers much more – a beautiful culture and a rich history.

On March 19, the reading “ Im Schein der Pfütze (In the glow of the puddle)” will take place as part of the International Weeks Against Racism (Austrian Antiracism Days). Together with the author  Jimmy Brainless, we will explore two worlds – Austria and Taiwan – through the experiences of several generations of a family whose roots lie in both places. The reading and the discussion that follows will be moderated by Kyoko Shinozaki.

We cordially invite you to join us and discover the rich cultural world that exists beyond Europe, and to learn how intercultural families bring Europe and Asia together.

Speaker: Jimmy Brainless, Austrian-Taiwanese Author & Musician
Moderation: Kyoko Shinozaki, University of Salzburg
