Meike Bukowski | Exhibition „Stadtdessen – Kunst, Wissenschaft und sozialökologische Transformation“

We cordially invite you to the opening reception and the exhibition „Stadtdessen – Kunst, Wissenschaft und sozialökologische Transformation“:

Opening reception: May 20, 2026/18:00
Venue: Kunstraum Traklhaus, Waagplatz 1a, Salzburg
Exhibition dates: May 21 to June 27, 2026

Under the guiding question “How do we want to live in the future—and who will help shape that future?”, the SDG Open Class “Stadtdessen”—a collaborative teaching format involving students from the Mozarteum and the University of Salzburg—presents artistic and academic works on socio-ecological transformation. From our department, Meike Bukowski (Human Geography) contributed to the project. The focus is on topics such as poverty reduction, the elimination of inequalities, and sustainable urban development in line with SDGs 1, 10, and 11.

The exhibition is part of the major annual exhibition  „SCHAU2026“ organized by the Department of Fine Arts & Design at the Mozarteum University. To mark its 50th anniversary, the exhibition features a wide range of works in the fields of art and design as well as technology and design—so there’s plenty more to discover!
