Simone Häckl new assistant professor at the department
We warmly welcome our new colleague Simone Haeckl to the PLUS Department of Economics. Simone joins our department as an assistant professor (tenure-track) after several years at the University of Stavanger, where she continues to hold a part-time position as associate professor of economics. She received her PhD in Economics with honors from WU Vienna University of Economics and Business.
Her research lies at the intersection of behavioral and experimental economics, with applications to labor, education, and public economics. In her work, Simone studies motivation, gender differences, leadership, and decision-making, often using field and laboratory experiments.
We are delighted to have her join our department—welcome, Simone!
