Rethinking Digital Security: Interdisciplinary Kick-off by Prof. Dimitrios Simos
In his lecture, Prof. Simos covered a wide range of topics, from combinatorial mathematics to current security-critical application areas – from automotive software and cryptographic hardware to the protection of critical infrastructure. Of particular note is his interdisciplinary approach to transferring methods from cybersecurity to disaster management, thus paving the way for prevention and resilience research.
Call for abstracts for the Economy for the Common Good Congress
The deadline for submitting abstracts is 31 October 2025: The University of Salzburg is a cooperation partner of the Economy for the Common Good International Conference, which will take place from 10 to 12 June 2026 in Amberg, Bavaria. Under the title ‘Transforming Towards a Fair and Sustainable Economy. Shared Responsibility of Science and Practice,’ the host organisations are calling for abstract submissions. The interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary conference is aimed equally at academia and practitioners.
