CIVIS Service-Learning Awards Event Salzburg
On May 22, 2025, the University of Salzburg hosted a local award event showcasing service-learning initiatives as part of the CIVIS Service-Learning Awards at the iDEAS:lab, the university’s Open Lab. This award initiative promotes service-learning across CIVIS universities by recognizing impactful projects that combine academic learning with real-world civic engagement. It aims to highlight the potential of higher education to address societal challenges through collaboration with civil and administrative stakeholders.

Lucy Kinski elected to the Young Academy of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW)
Political scientist Dr. Lucy Kinski from the Salzburg Centre of European Union Studies (SCEUS) and the Political Science Department at the University of Salzburg has been elected as one of eight new members of the Young Academy of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW). She joins an interdisciplinary network of up to 70 already established and award-winning researchers under the age of 40.
