Klara S. Brandis has been a research assistant at the Department of Sociology and Human Geography since October 2025, and has been enrolled in the Master’s program in Sociology since then. In October 2024, she completed the interdisciplinary Bachelor’s degree in “Philosophy, Politics, and Economics” at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg. In her Bachelor Thesis she analyzed power relations in knowledge transfer. She continued a specialization in “Poverty and Social Exclusion”. Klara has been involved in various cultural projects. She is consistently interested in interdisciplinary collaboration as well as in the reciprocal relationship between the Humanities and Social Sciences, and the public sphere. Through her Master’s studies in Sociology, she aims to gain new perspectives and methodological impulses to further develop her previous research interests. In her role as a research assistant, her curiosity is directed toward the conditions of research, teaching, and the exchange of knowledge.
