What will I learn?

The teacher training programme for the subject of Catholic Religion offers students a comprehensive overview of the central elements of the Christian faith and its expressions in history and present. Students learn various academic methods to interpret texts from the Bible and traditional texts. By doing so, they strengthen their ability to argument and judge in discussions about the church and society. Their education will enable them to accompany their pupils in their questions about faith, meaning and happiness. Students have to choose a second subject besides the subject of Catholic Religion. They will deepen their pedagogical knowledge at the University’s School of Education and during their practical experience in a school.
