Especially in times of crisis, when the validity of international humanitarian law is called into question, it is important for young students to receive an education in international law that takes the law out of the books and into practice. The Jean Pictet Competition offers a unique experience in this regard.

The students were supported in their preparation by a team from the Department of International Law, Maga Angela Morello and Dr. Wim Zimmermann under the supervision of Univ.-Prof. Dr Kirsten Schmalenbach.
