Research interest
- Community ecology (especially ornithology & entomology)
- Collection and analysis of bird ringing data
- National Park research and applied nature conservation (habitat protection)
My fascination with life began at a very early age. I have always been drawn to wildlife and animals. As I grew older, my interest expanded to include environmental protection, especially in times of global change. I am fascinated by how ecosystems function and enjoy learning about new connections within and between communities. In my future career, I aim to contribute to improving the living conditions of organisms and to support nature conservation projects.
Currently, I am working on a project funded by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Climate and Environmental Protection, Regions and Water Management of the Republic of Austria. The project focuses on analysing the habitat requirements of the whinchat, skylark, and violet copper butterfly to further develop conservation and management strategies for farmland that supports these species.
