The European Union and the OeAD National Agency are celebrating Erasmus Days for the tenth time. Since their inception in 2017 to mark the 30th anniversary of Erasmus, Erasmus Days have become firmly established far beyond Europe’s borders: in 2025, more than 1,000 events took place across 59 countries.

This year, Erasmus Days will take place from 12 to 17 October 2026 under the motto “Union of Skills”. In Austria, too, Erasmus Days have long been a fixture: in recent years, over 1,000 activities have been organised here, demonstrating the positive impact of European cooperation.

At the University of Salzburg, the Global Engagement/International Relations department has organised annual events as part of this initiative and provided information and advice across the faculties. This year, we are celebrating Erasmus Days on Wednesday, 14 October.

In the afternoon, we invite you to drop by the Student Welcome Centre at Universitätzplatz 1 between 1.00 pm and 5.00 pm. As well as information and advice on studying abroad in general, Erasmus+ and CIVIS, there will be an Erasmus+ quiz and a wheel of fortune with great prizes.

The evening continues with an international programme, presented exclusively in English. Entertainment is on the cards with a stand-up comedy show from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm at the Imaculada – the KHG club room in the Kollegienkirche, Wiener-Philharmoniker-Gasse 2. Here, three different personalities will share their experiences of arriving, settling and living in Salzburg and Austria.
