New cultural science cooperation with top Australian university

As of January 2023, the Faculty of Cultural Sciences at the PLUS has a framework agreement with the Faculty of Arts at the renowned University of Melbourne (UoM).

The UoM appears in the top rankings as Australia’s highest-ranked university and among the world’s top 35 universities. The Department of German Language and Literature has been cooperating with its counterpart at the UoM at departmental level through Erasmus+ since 2017.

Dean Matthias Heinz is pleased about the now faculty-wide cooperation: “As Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, I am extremely pleased about the Memorandum of Understanding with the Faculty of Arts of the University of Melbourne that is now available! This excellent partner faculty, which is extremely diverse in its subject areas, is part of a leading research university in Australia and internationally, and offers our departments and research groups exciting, promising opportunities for cooperation – the first collaborative ventures have already been established.”

Dr. Sonja Molnar, PLUS graduate and lecturer in Media and Communications at the University of Melbourne, is currently a guest lecturer at the PLUS. On 16 and 17 March 2023, a joint online symposium on the topic of Media, Text and Travel will be held by the Media and Communications Program at UoM and the Department of English and American Studies at PLUS.
