University of Salzburg’s policy for research data management
The aim of the policy on research data management is to support researchers in the management of research data and to provide guidelines and orientation for the implementation of the FAIR principles. The policy sets out the framework conditions for systematic research data management at the PLUS, which covers the collection, management, processing, storage and provision of research data.
As of 04.07.2025, the policy is in effect as a standard operating procedure for research data management. The document is available here [German]:

Compliance with the policy is ensured if the following requirements are met:
- Machine-readable data management plans must be created for research projects carried out at the University of Salzburg.
Information about writing data management plans - Research data should be archived in suitable research data repositories and, where possible, made freely accessible.
Information on research data repositories - Records of published research data must be entered in the PURE research information system.
