My younger self: What I enjoyed most during my time as a doctoral student was the fascination of becoming completely immersed in a project, being genuinely excited about it, digging deep into a question, and solving one puzzle after another. As a student, I would expect DSP to provide an environment that nurtures this curiosity and enthusiasm, while offering the support and exchange needed to pursue challenging questions.
What a PhD student can expect from me: I hope to spark enthusiasm for a project and encourage students to develop their own curiosity and ideas. My door is always open for questions, discussion, and support, especially when a fresh perspective or a little guidance is needed.
Me as a biomolecule: I would definitely be a protein. They are the real workers of the cell. They don’t just carry information; they get things done, make changes, and turn ideas into action.
