Biography

Anna Rechenmacher studied Art History and Digital Humanities at the University of Graz. In her theses, she explored the phenomenon of ephemeral art and its preservation within the museum context (Art History), as well as the digital modeling of such art forms in information systems (Digital Humanities). Alongside her studies, she gained practical experience in the museum and cultural sector. She worked as a curatorial assistant at the Neue Galerie Graz and as a student assistant at the Institute of Art History at the University of Graz. In addition, she contributed to projects such as the marble symposium Kristallin in Schlanders-Laas, the Center for Contemporary Art at the University of Graz, and the “Brahms online” initiative at the Austrian Centre for Digital Humanities and Cultural Heritage in Vienna. Her research focuses particularly on ephemeral art, issues of musealization and documentation, and the handling of intangible cultural heritage.
