The bachelor’s program Language – Business – Culture combines business, foreign language and intercultural skills. Students can choose between a Romance language (French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish) or a Slavic language (Polish, Russian, Czech) and acquire application-oriented skills of language practice, cultural studies and business administration disciplines. Through the targeted networking of core competencies from the humanities and economics, a pronounced application orientation and an international focus, students are provided with an ideal basis both for direct entry into professional life and for further academic training. The comprehensive interdisciplinarity and practical orientation make this degree program a unique opportunity to combine linguistic, literary and cultural studies with business and economics skills. The interdisciplinary skills imparted by the bachelor’s program in Language – Business – Culture and the individual specialization options are attractive to a wide range of public and private institutions. On the one hand, the competencies in linguistics, literature and cultural studies open up the professional fields of cultural management, journalism, publishing and science, and on the other hand, the application-oriented business education opens up direct entry into companies of all kinds.
