Data | Spaces | Intelligence: We focus on virtual spaces, feature and data spaces, ordering relationships, as well as relationships and geometric properties of objects in real space. We develop competence in dealing with data spaces, investigate spatial understanding and spatial thinking, and develop corresponding didactic concepts. We are also interested in the interaction between humans and devices at the interface between the real and virtual worlds, including future development scenarios. Data acquisition (measure, observe, sense) and processing plays just as important a role as the derivation of decision-making bases and insights. What unites us is the mapping of the real world in digital or formal/abstract representations – be it through data spaces, data models, simulations, axioms, etc. – in order to offer explanatory models for understanding a complex world for a wide variety of application scenarios.
