Tasks of the Departmental Council
The departmental council has the task of advising the departmental management and commenting on its decisions. It does this in all matters that affect the department as a whole.
This includes in particular:
- Proposals and opinions on the department’s target agreement with the rectorate;
- Proposals and opinions on the outcome of resource negotiations with the responsible member of the rectorate as well as on the allocation of resources by the head;
- Proposals and opinions on the entrustment of teaching by the dean;
- Proposals in the area of departmental development planning;
- Proposals and opinions on the establishment and composition of subdivisions within the department;
- Proposals and opinions on the appointment of honorary and visiting professorships;
- Proposals and opinions on the awarding of honorary doctorates.
