Environmental Policy
Protecting our environment by conserving resources is essential to preserving our natural world not only for ourselves, but also for future generations. We are committed to demonstrating our social responsibility through appropriate actions and initiatives designed to continuously reduce our environmental impact, and to continually evaluate our efforts.
Here are some activities that demonstrate how we fulfil this responsibility:
1. We conserve natural resources. This includes the efficient use of energy, water and paper, as well as comprehensive waste management
2. We are committed to fostering environmentally responsible thinking and behaviour among our university staff and students.
3. We consider environmental and social issues in our purchasing and procurement.
4. We support sustainable approaches to research and teaching, both thematically and organisationally.
5. We educate students, as future opinion leaders, about the concept of sustainability.
6. We are committed to sustainable mobility.
7. We aim to make our meetings and conferences sustainable.
8. Compliance with environmental regulations goes without saying.
9. We also share our experience in implementing sustainable projects both internally and externally.
10. As an institution, we want to continuously improve ourselves as a role model for environmental sustainability.
11. Our goal is to continuously reduce our controllable greenhouse gas emissions to achieve climate neutrality by the end of 2040.
12. We participate in projects to achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
