Philosophy
The Bachelor’s degree programme in Philosophy (duration 6 semesters) deals with a variety of problems – from questions about the relationship between language and thought or the solution of logical paradoxes to dealing with topics and questions that have a current connection to the world we live in, like for example ‘Should we be vegan?

Philosophy, Politics and Economics
The Bachelor’s degree programme in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE for short, duration 6 semesters) takes into account the increasing interdependence of politics, economics and social life. Topics of social relevance such as globalisation, migration, inequality and political radicalisation are dealt with during the course. The perspective is therefore interdisciplinary. Graduates are able to evaluate and solve complex decision-making situations using an analytical approach.

Teacher training in Ethics
The Bachelor’s degree programme in Teacher Training in Ethics (duration 8 semesters) is designed to provide students with subject-specific and didactic skills that enable them to develop and critically reflect on ethical issues. These should be applied to everyday life, to science, and prepare them for school lessons in a skills-orientated manner.

Teacher training in Psychology and Philosophy
The Bachelor’s degree programme in Psychology and Philosophy (PP for short, duration 8 semesters) teaches central psychological, philosophical and didactic concepts. Students deal with theoretical and practical aspects of both subject areas. They learn to philosophise and acquire methodological knowledge of psychology. They also deal with topics that are relevant to our everyday lives. In the specialised didactic courses, they learn how to put psychological and philosophical content into practice at school.
