Julien Murzi is an Associate Professor in Philosophy at the Philosophy Department at the University of Salzburg and an external member of the Munich Centre for Mathematical Philosophy. He specializes in the philosophies of language and logic, with significant interests in logic proper, metaphysics, epistemology, and the philosophy of mathematics.

Julien Murzi holds a Habilitation from the University of Salzburg, completed between 2015 and 2019, with a thesis titled “Truth and Paradox in Context.” He earned an HSD+ certification in University Didactics from the University of Salzburg (2017-2018) and a Postgraduate Certificate for Higher Education from the University of Kent (2012-2014). Julien obtained a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Sheffield (2006-2010), with a thesis on “Intuitionism and Logical Revision,” and another PhD in Philosophy from the University of Rome ‘La Sapienza’ (2004-2008), with a thesis on “The Paradox of Knowability,” both earning high distinctions. Additionally, he has a specialization diploma for teaching Philosophy and History in Upper Secondary School and a Laurea in Filosofia, with distinction, from the University of Rome ‘La Sapienza’.
