DETAILED INFORMATION

Objective: In both competitions, the award is intended to support an outstanding early-career researcher from one of the University of Salzburg’s faculties at the start of his or her career and to promote academic excellence in general.

The eligibility criteria for the 2026 call for proposals were: Applicants must provide proof of a valid doctoral degree certificate issued between March 1, 2025, and February 28, 2026.

Evaluation: This is usually conducted by a jury composed of experts in the field. The sole criterion is scientific quality.
