Applications

• Applications are made by means of the application form for the issue of a user card (fill-in aid).

Application by e-mail

• Please send the completed and signed application form by e-mail including a copy of a valid official photo ID and adress proof
  to:
  Only completely filled out applications (incl. photo ID copy and adress proof) can be processed. Incomplete, illegible or unsigned applications will be returned to the applicant by mail.

Picking up the library card

• We try to keep the processing time as short as possible, but we would like to point out that it can take up to 48 hours (working days, Mon-Fri) to issue and use the library card.
• PLEASE NOTE: Only after receiving the mail with the login data (account name and password) is it possible to pick up the library card from Monday to Friday at the circulation desk of the main library (Hofstallgasse).

   

Information for members of the university (students/staff)

• For students:
  The student card is also the library card. The accounts for students are automatically imported from the University’s central administration system into the library system. No additional application is necessary.
•  Staff members:
  The staff account is automatically imported into the library system from the university’s central administration system. If you have a service card for staff, this also serves as a library card. An additional application is not necessary.
  Note for employees: If you do not have a Service Card for employees please bring a photo ID for the identity check.
