Approximately 500 experts from around the world gathered at AGIT 2026 at the University of Salzburg to discuss the latest developments in GeoAI, Earth observation and digital twins.

New measurements conducted by the University of Salzburg at the Stubacher Sonnblickkees glacier confirm the dramatic loss of ice in the Alps. The findings complement recent international research and demonstrate that climate change is continuing to accelerate glacier melt, both regionally and globally.
