PURE | Research Information System
The Research Information System (RIS) of the University of Salzburg documents, manages, and connects all research-related data, providing a comprehensive platform that showcases the University’s expertise across a wide range of disciplines. By reflecting the breadth of its scientific achievements and research activities, the system also helps strengthen the University of Salzburg’s public profile as a leading research institution.
The Research Information System (RIS) consists of the publicly accessible PURE | Research Portal and the PURE web application, a personal workspace that enables members of the University to record, manage, and maintain their research outputs and activities.
The University is legally required to collect and report research-related information. Researchers themselves are responsible for the accuracy and quality of the data. As a rule, research data are entered directly by researchers into the University of Salzburg’s PURE Research Information System. Users can determine which information and to what extent their data are displayed in the public portal. The only exceptions are core personal data imported from institutional systems such as SAP and PLUSonline (e.g., name, academic title, and organizational affiliation), which are displayed automatically.
A comprehensive user guide can be found in the Pure Wiki, while the FAQ section provides answers to frequently asked questions.
If you have any questions, the Research Services team will be happy to assist you with guidance and support. Please contact the PURE Helpdesk pure.help(at)plus.ac.at or call extension 2459.
