My younger self: Collaboratively tackling complex biomedical questions not only kept me motivated through the highs and lows of my journey as a young scientist but also forged lasting personal connections—because science (and life) is always better as a team!

What a PhD student can expect from me: Research is a journey best shared. In our small, close-knit working group, we tackle challenges together, drive discovery through collaboration, and grow both scientifically and personally. Ideas are exchanged freely, and every obstacle is an opportunity to learn and innovate. You’ll receive direct mentorship while making meaningful contributions to our work. Successes are shared, with each team member playing a key role in advancing our research.

Me as a biomolecule: Just as Kindlin activates integrins to trigger important cellular processes, I aim to spark curiosity in students, helping them navigate the complexities of science
