Events for Staff
The Department for University Communications designs and delivers internal event formats on behalf of the Rectorate, overseeing every stage of the process from concept development and content planning to event organisation and implementation. Drawing on professional expertise and a strong commitment to excellence, we create events that promote information-sharing, dialogue and a sense of belonging within the University of Salzburg.
In addition, we provide advice and support to organisational units in the planning and delivery of their own events and develop targeted initiatives to strengthen the University’s employer brand.
Event Consulting
Planning an Event at the University of Salzburg?
We provide advice and support to organisational units of the University of Salzburg in the planning and delivery of events.
Our services include both event management and communications consultancy, covering everything from event concept development and strategic planning to audience-focused communication and effective promotional integration. In cooperation with the Staff Development Unit, we also offer a range of workshops and lectures.
Staff Celebration
Since 2022, the Department for University Communications has organised the University of Salzburg’s major Summer Festival for around 1,000 members of staff.
The event takes place annually on the day before Corpus Christi at the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences and provides an opportunity for colleagues from across the University to come together in an informal setting. The programme features opportunities for networking and exchange, live music, and a variety of culinary highlights.
Anniversary Celebration
The Rectorate of the University of Salzburg invites long-serving members of staff and retired colleagues to its annual Jubilee Celebration, providing a festive occasion to reflect on shared achievements and to honour many years of dedicated service.

Central Administration Christmas Party
A festive end to the year: the Rectorate invites all staff of the Central Administration to the traditional Christmas Celebration.
