Michael Geistlinger, born 1956 in Radstadt; associate university professor of international law, comparative law in the field of constitutional and administrative law and Eastern European law at the University of Salzburg.
Focus of publications: Theory and practice of international law, international minority and refugee law, European integration, international and European environmental law, Russian and Eastern European constitutional law in comparative terms;
expert missions to Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Transnistria; long-standing arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration for Sport and legal advisor to international sports federations; member of the CAS Ad Hoc Division for the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver 2010 and the Anti-Doping Division for the Olympic Games Rio de Janeiro 2016; Visiting Professor at Charles University in Prague; Foreign Member of the Evaluation Commission of the University Roma IV; Member and Secretary of the Expert Group for the Evaluation of the Area of Law in Latvia (Latvian Quality Agency for Higher Education (AIKA)); Member of the Expert Advisory Body of Evaluators of the Czech Government for the Evaluation of Czech Research Organisations; Member of the International Evaluation Panel of the Czech Police Academy; University Council of the Mozarteum University.
