BNE Conference in the EUREGIO

The aim of the encounter project “ESD Conference in the EUREGIO” is to impart knowledge about existing possibilities in the use of digital geomedia for ESD purposes across borders, to arouse interest and motivation and to develop a community for the use of geomedia in the ESD area within the framework of a mini-conference (19.09.2025 in the iDEAS:lab of the Department of Geoinformatics – Z_GIS/ PLUS) with planned 25 participants.

The project includes the planning and implementation of a full-day mini-conference on 19.09.2025 by external process support (responsible for: Application, network development/identification of further relevant actors in the EUREGIO, program development and program implementation on site as well as preparation of a final document) and with the support of an external moderator. The project offers keynote speeches and short presentations with workshops.

The primary target group of the mini-conference are ESD institutions in the EUREGIO region, including large protected areas (Berchtesgaden National Park, Hohe Tauern National Park, Berchtesgadener Land Biosphere Region, Lungau Biosphere Park, Weißbach Nature Park etc.), museums (Haus der Natur etc.), Salzburg Zoo, ANL-Laufen, clubs and associations, as well as individuals (teachers, student teachers, ESD implementers and interested parties).

The project is funded by the INTERREG program 2021-2027 ( https://www.interreg-bayaut.net/) and co-financed by the European Union.
