Dental health care: materials for learners of German

(c) Österreichische GesundheitskasseThis project is a continuation of the very successful projects „Baby isst mit“ (My child eats with me) and „Mein Kind beginnt zu essen“ (My child is beginning to eat): Teaching materials for adult learners of German were created as part of the “Dental Health Care” scheme of the ÖGK – Landesstelle Salzburg. In cooperation with experts from the ÖGK (Austrian healthcare organisation) – Salzburg, office content on the topics of tooth development, dental care and dentists’ surgeries were prepared accordingly. Learners with a basic knowledge of German – from level A1 or A2 – should thus receive important information on the topics and at the same time learn linguistic structures and language actions associated with them. The materials created were piloted and revised based on the evaluation results. The teaching materials include free learning materials and additional audio and video materials with expert tips. In addition, a detailed teacher’s guide was created, which includes tips for methodological use in the classroom.
