She completed her PhD in June 2025 under joint supervision between the University of Salzburg and the University of Palermo in Political Science and Law. Her doctoral thesis examined the depoliticisation strategies adopted by the European Commission in EU migration and asylum policy.

Her research adopts an interdisciplinary socio-legal perspective and focuses on European integration, EU policy-making, and EU asylum and migration policy, with particular attention to the role of the European Commission and the increasing reliance on administrative and informal governance instruments in migration management. During her PhD, she was a visiting fellow at the Maastricht Centre for European Law at Maastricht University and the Brussels School of Governance at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Université Paris-Est Créteil, a Master’s degree in European Studies from Université Paris 8 Vincennes-Saint-Denis, and a Master’s degree in Human Rights and Democratisation from the Global Campus of Human Rights. She has published both sole-authored and co-authored work in the Journal of European Public Policy, the European Yearbook on Human Rights, Freedom, Security and Justice: European Legal Studies, and Mediterranean Politics.
