The university canteens

The canteens and cafés at the University of Salzburg offer various ways to keep you energised throughout the day. Whether it’s a morning coffee to get you going, a healthy lunch or a snack in between – with the “Mensa Card”, varied food and drink remain affordable.

In addition to the canteen at the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences, the Austrian Canteen Operating Company also runs three cafeterias. At all three locations, you can choose from a selection of daily changing menus at lunchtime. Best of all: sustainable products, attentive service and freshly prepared meals made from selected regional ingredients always come first.

  • E-Bistro am Rudolfskai

    A wide range of meals is available here, which can be selected from the frozen‑meal vending machine, heated independently and eaten on site. Please bring your own cutlery! Cold drinks can also be purchased.

    Opening hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00–20:00, Friday 08:00–18:00 (during lecture‑free periods: Monday to Friday 08:00–17:00)

  • EDEN Kantine im Unipark & EDEN Café Skybar

    A wonderful place for a lunch break is the rooftop café at Unipark Nonntal. Here, you can enjoy delicious food with panoramic views of Hohensalzburg Fortress, the Untersberg and the Gaisberg. On the ground floor of the University of Salzburg, the EDEN canteen offers freshly prepared dishes at affordable prices.
