Bernhard Reicher has been a project assistant in the Department of Sociology and Human Geography since July 1, 2026, where he is involved in data analysis for the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) project “STRIVE”; the project examines the influence of regional educational structures in one’s place of residence on the socioeconomic prospects of young men and women. Prior to that, he served as a research assistant in the department from October 2024 to June 2026. He completed his bachelor’s degree in sociology at PLUS in February 2024, followed in June 2026 by his master’s degree in sociology with a thesis on pro-environmental behavior in the Hohe Tauern National Park. From 2023 to 2026, he also served as a project staff member on the ÖAW-funded “AlpLakeChange” project, which examined changes in biodiversity in alpine waters within the Hohe Tauern National Park.
