McGeorge LLM and Study Abroad
Students at the University of Salzburg have the possibility to study abroad thanks to several agreements with European and US American universities. These agreements include the possibility to go for one or two semesters on exchange, or to obtain an LLM.

LLM and Exchange programmes with McGeorge University and the University of Connecticut
Thanks to bilateral agreements, Law students may obtain an LLM while paying reduced tuition fees at the McGeorge School of Law (Sacramento, CA) and the University of Connecticut (Hartford).
Univesity of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law
Students wishing to study for an LLM programme (one full year, mid-August to mid-May) at McGeorge may be eligible for a full fee waiver. They must put forward their application (motivation letter – 2 pages maximum – and transcript) by mid-February for studies starting mid-August. Applications must be submitted to Prof. Diane Fromage and Asoz. Prof. Günter Herzig. Please check you University of Salzburg student mail account regularly, as the call with precise deadlines will be sent out here, usually by mid-January.
Upon pre-selection, suggested candidates will be recommended to McGeorge School of Law, which will proceed with its selection.
Students also have the possibility to go for an undergraduate exchange semester (usually in the fall term, i.e. mid-August to December), in which case, there is a full fee waiver, but no diploma will be delivered.
University of Connecticut
Students wishing to study for an LLM programme of the University of Connecticut may be eligible for a fee waiver of up to 50%. They must put forward their application (motivation letter – 2 pages maximum – and transcript) by 15 March for the fall semester and by 15 September for the spring semester. Applications must be submitted to Prof. Diane Fromage and Asoz. Prof. Günter Herzig.
Upon pre-selection, suggested candidates will be recommended to the University of Connecticut, which will proceed with its selection.
Students also have the possibility to go for an exchange semester (in which case, there is a full fee waiver, but no diploma of the University of Connecticut will be delivered, as it is always the case with exchange programmes). However, if students so wish, they may be able to extend their stay to a second semester with a view to obtaining an LLM diploma, in which case they would have to pay the normal (reduced) tuition fee.
