Proof of language proficiency for admission to study programmes at the University of Salzburg

Proof of language proficiency via Language Centre courses 

The required language proficiency can also be demonstrated through graded course certificates issued by the Language Centre. 

  • German A2

    • German A2/A2+: successful completion (pass) 
  • German B2

    • German B2/B2+: successful completion with a grade of “Good” or “Excellent” 
    • German B2+/C1: successful completion (pass) 
    • German for Academic Purposes, written, C1: successful completion (pass) 
    • German for Academic Purposes, oral, C1: successful completion (pass) 
  • English C1

    • English C1: successful completion with a grade of “Good” or “Excellent” 
    • Academic skills: reading and writing C1: successful completion with a grade of “Good” or “Excellent” 
    • Academic skills: listening and speaking C1: successful completion with a grade of “Good” or “Excellent” 
    • Englisch C1+: successful completion (pass) 
    • Academic skills: reading and writing C1+: successful completion (pass) 
    • Academic skills: listening and speaking C1+: successful completion (pass)
