Research Group Geometry/Optimization

The research group Geometry/Optimization deals with current mathematical problems with an emphasis on geometry. A particular focus is placed on topics at the interface between analysis and geometry, as well as on geometric aspects of optimization problems.

Research topics include convex and integral geometry, stochastic geometry, and geometric functional analysis.

In teaching, the working group also offers courses in the field of mathematics of finance and insurance mathematics.
