Antonia Heil is a PhD student in the international GEiO research project at TH Deggendorf. Her PhD thesis is at the intersection of gender studies, psychology and political science and is co-supervised by Prof. Dr. Zoe Lefkofridi at the University of Salzburg. Her research interests include the study of political parties, gender studies, the study of social structures and power relations, electoral behavior, and extremism research. Her master’s thesis is on “Why do women participate in radical right populist parties? Analyzing the Motivations, Motives and Backgrounds of Women in the FPÖ and the AfD.”
In 2022 and 2023, she was employed to support research and teaching at the Department of Politics & Gender, Diversity and Equality. In 2020-2023, she studied political science in the Master’s program at the University of Salzburg. She earned her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Tübingen in Political Science and Public Law.
