Diana Lucia Hofmann has been a doctoral candidate at the Department of Political Science at the University of Salzburg since 2023. She is a researcher in the FWF project “Populism and Conspiracy during the COVID-19 Pandemic” and, since 2025, has also been working at the Chair of Austrian Politics. In her dissertation, she examines the political causes and consequences of conspiracy beliefs and analyzes their relationship with populism, political trust, ideology, and support for democracy. Her main research interests include populism, conspiracy beliefs, political system preferences, political participation, and voting behavior.
